WOW,
we have gathered steam on this project! We sent several appeals
during the Christmas holiday and organized a very successful "Xmas
Carols by Candlelight" evening where parents and children gathered
together to sing and help our children at GFI. Kids brought their
piggy banks and donated generously. It was a beautiful evening that
raised over $900.
Thanks
a million to all of you who have sent donations. Our children and
teens will be thrilled with these gifts.
So
far the collection has exceeded $1,825!
It's
a combination of Euros and US dollars so the amount can vary, depending
on the rate of exchange. We are conferring with Director Goga to
decide what items we will buy, trying to get the most value for
the money. As soon as we can, we'll go ahead and begin purchasing.
It's
not too late to help! Our goal is to reach $2,000.
Until the end of February, we're continuing our collaborative appeal
to donors in North America and Europe for sports and play equipment
for our children.
