An
Orphan’s Bright Star has officially adopted a regional approach
to providing charitable assistance for Ukrainian orphans. We cannot
ignore the incredible potential to help an entire community of needy
children by reaching out to homes in close proximity. We will build
on our existing relationships and successes in the Poltava, Zakarpatska
and Zhitomir regions of Ukraine to address some of the more urgent
issues in special needs homes throughout the surrounding areas.
Details on specific projects will be provided as more thorough information
on the needs of the individual homes is obtained, and cost/feasibility
research and analysis has been completed.
Always
aware of the desire of our membership to provide for orphaned children
in other areas of Ukraine, An Orphan's Bright Star is committed
to identifying projects which can be tailored to accommodate homes
outside of our regional boundaries. These scope of these projects
will be based on member support, available funding, orphanage stability
and logistic feasibility.
